Blythwood Theatre is a social enterprise who creates socially engaged theatre in professional and community contexts. We develop theatre with a social conscience.

Working in collaboration to develop new writing and performances that reflect the world around us.

We work in professional theatre, community theatre and youth theatre. All our work is collaborative.

We provide youth theatre classes, community classes, ASN classes and adult classes. Partnering with various organisations.



Our Acting Training
Classes
We have youth theatre classes at various venues in Edinburgh. There are term time classes and holiday classes.
Workshops
We provide specialist workshops in acting, physical theatre, clowning and acting for camera. Tutors work with all ages. All workshops can be adapted and tailored to individual requirements. Please get in contact.
Private Coaching
Private coaching in acting, movement, wellbeing and singing is available upon request. Please contact for availability and prices.

Blythwood theatre runs classes and creates theatre with a social conscience. Blythwood Theatre are a social enterprise based in Leith and work throughout Edinburgh, and East Lothian.

At Blythwood theatre ensuring that all children and adults have access to quality performing arts education is at the heart of the theatre company.

Blythwood theatre has a number of classes throughout Edinburgh and East Lothian. We also run community classes with Citadel Arts Group and Abbeyhil Primary.

Blythwood Theatre is manages by Marilyn Blyth Wilson who is a professional actor, director, and teacher.
